The Asador Aker is a family business, its owners Angel and Ana, two passionate lovers of good gastronomy, heirs to a long tradition in the hotel and catering trade, masterfully run the restaurant’s kitchens. Our gastronomic proposal at the Hotel Santa María Briones is about enjoying food as it is done in La Rioja, about meeting, celebrating and disconnecting with local, honest flavours, with top-quality raw materials from La Rioja’s orchards and local producers. To treat the product with techniques that elevate it, and to savour it in an idyllic setting where the different gastronomic spaces of the hotel acquire their own personality, creating an authentic and complete gastronomic offer. Honeyed and crunchy lamb on sweet potato cream and panko crumbs, flaked cod on apple, tomato and its honey mustard vinaigrette, blanched green beans, crispy cheek and potato, are some of the dishes that parade through the dining room accompanied by a selection of the best wines of La Rioja. At Hotel Arrope you will find our restaurant with a constantly growing cuisine, followers of the Kilometre Zero culture, and our aim is to give value to our products. We love wine and we want to transmit this love to our customers. We have more than 200 references. And if you are passionate about wine, we have discontinued, old and very old vintages. Together we have been shaping our gastronomic offer. We are proud of the honesty we put into all our dishes and services. We value the Riojan vegetable garden. Artichokes, peppers, borage, peas….Along with our Iberian products, we are always looking for the right freshness and modernity. We go to the market every day and select the best fresh fish in season. We grill a careful selection of chuletón, chuletillas, cabrito, cochinillo (suckling pig)… etc. We have recovered traditional desserts, updating them to the 21st century and pairing them with a selection of wines. The Beethoven I restaurant and bar, since 1941, is a typical Riojan mesón with a rustic-style flavour and typical Riojan cuisine. On the one hand, the Rioja wine bar with a long bar full of “pinchos” and tapas, such as the famous pepper stuffed with mushrooms, the truffled cod canutillo with tomato jam and sunflower seeds, or the mushroom saquito with mushroom and mustard sauce. On the other hand, the informal restaurant with a menu that combines Rioja casseroles with a classic menu of Riojan cuisine, such as the stews of the day, the fresh cod with fried vegetables, the T-bone steak, or the much sought-after roast milk lamb.

Casa Marisa is a traditional restaurant, located in a rural house in the Riojan village of San Asensio, which offers homemade Spanish gastronomy and an ideal place to celebrate any kind of intimate and quiet event. The gastronomic offer is composed by a traditional cuisine that offers the best Spanish and regional flavours. Each dish is carefully prepared with fresh, top quality products that will delight the most homely palates. Of all its delicacies, the highlights are the patorrillos a la riojana, the secreto ibérico al aroma de la serena, the fresh fish and the different homemade desserts of the place.

At the beginning of the 1960s, the married couple Remedios Monge and Antonio Saez bought a manor house in the zigzagging Calle de Zumalacárregui, 27, in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. At first it was a shop and later a bar and restaurant. The children (6) all passed through the family business. Javier, Antonio, Jesús, Pedro and Mariola. During these years the cuisine was totally traditional. Remedios was delegating and passing the baton to Jesús who modified the kitchen, making it more creative, without forgetting or leaving the traditional cuisine behind. Within the centuries-old walls of the imposing Hotel Los Agustinos and located in the gastronomically renowned area of Haro, the birthplace of wine, the restaurant El Claustro de Los Agustinos offers a varied selection of products. Its renovated kitchen team offers a menu based on traditional products from the land of La Rioja that does not renounce innovation. A surprising tiger mussel with edible shell or grilled scallops on organic saffron cream from La Rioja exemplify the union between tradition and innovation that characterises the hotel’s kitchens. Among other dishes, the menu offers a timbale of trotters with grilled foie gras and muscatel grape sauce, rice with lobster or Russian Rioja cake with vanilla sauce. The restaurant El Figón del Duque is located in Navarrete – La Rioja – in the medieval cellars of the palace of the Duke of Nájera. As always we are defined by our passion for the product, the meeting of flavours, the friendly and personalised service, the culture of wine and history. From June 2020 we are launching our new service of Mediterranean cuisine at home, “aCasaVostra”. El Figón offers a quality gastronomic proposal based on local and seasonal products prepared with a touch of originality. Every three months we elaborate a seasonal menu in which the product is the main actor together with a warm atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, a unique and historical environment and quality wine for the total enjoyment of the senses.
