Exhibition ‘1986’ by Marta Aramendia in FYA

The artist, of Navarrese origin but based in Galicia, studied Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna, Sculpture at the EADS Maestro Mateo in Santiago and Ceramics at the EADS Pablo Picasso in La Coruña. In love with the sea, three years ago she began to represent the cetaceans that live on our coasts, becoming fascinated by whales and since then, under the title ‘1986’ (the year in which whaling was banned) they have become the central theme of her work.
