Take the N-232 road to Briones. There take the LR-210 road to San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Just before reaching the village, just after crossing the river Ebro, is the area. From the N-232A, cross the town towards the LR-210 (Briones). At the height of the Medieval Bridge, over the River Ebro, there is an access to the right of the road that leads directly to the area. The area is located in the recreational area next to the river Ebro and near the famous medieval bridge. From Logroño and Burgos, take the A-12 motorway to exit 110 towards Nájera. Then follow the LR-113 until you reach Baños de Río Tobia. Once in the town, follow signs to the sports centre and pelota court. Authorised stay 72 hours. Tables, chairs, etc. are not allowed to be taken out. Both from the AP-1 and the AP-68, take the N-232 to Casalarreina. Once in the town, continue south along Av. de La Rioja until the roundabout at the end of the town centre. There turn right towards the sports area, which is where the area is located. Municipal area located next to the swimming pools and the “El Soto” pelota court, behind the Monasterio de la Piedad. Both from Nájera and from Santo Domingo de la Calzada, you can get there from the A-12 motorway (exit 28) or from the N-120. After leaving both, continue towards the village of Hormilla on the Nájera road and a few metres further on you will see the sign to the Valcarce petrol station, where the area is located. Prices. At the beginning of the 1960s, the married couple Remedios Monge and Antonio Saez bought a manor house in the zigzagging Calle de Zumalacárregui, 27, in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. At first it was a shop and later a bar and restaurant. The children (6) all passed through the family business. Javier, Antonio, Jesús, Pedro and Mariola. During these years the cuisine was totally traditional. Remedios was delegating and passing the baton to Jesús who modified the kitchen, making it more creative, without forgetting or leaving the traditional cuisine behind. The Cenicero Tourist Office is located on the ground floor of the Town Hall, in the Plaza de España. The building is built in ashlar masonry, in the form of a hall, with an octagonal chancel with three sections, covered with star-shaped ribbed vaults of different designs that support pointed arches and cylindrical pillars. The main complex is in the Catholic Monarchs and Renaissance style, from the 16th century. The chancel was erected in 1521. The sacristy is rectangular and divided into four chapels by pilasters, finished in 1680. It has a magnificent carving of the Assumption of the Virgin.
Built in the 16th century and declared a national monument. The church has a perfectly crafted façade in the Catholic Monarchs style. It is a building with a single, very stylised nave and a high choir. Its beautiful Baroque tower, dating from 1740, consists of two sections: one with a quadrangular floor plan and an octagonal upper section topped with a lantern dome. Admission is free and places are limited. It has a valuable main altarpiece made in the 16th century by the Beaugrant brothers.
