Rioja Wines

The majority of the Rioja wines normally come from the harmonic conjunction, in various proportions, both of the grape varieties cultivated in the denomination, and of the different subzones that integrate it.

They are wines that have a good aromatic composition, fresh, medium strength, balanced composition and excellent bouquet.

Red wines

Classic wines, of vivid color, fresh, penetrating aroma, light to the palate and of medium degree. It predominates the Tempranillo variety.

Rosé Wines

Very light, fresh to the palate and with strong fragrance, bright pink color, average alcoholic grade. The Garnacha variety predominates.

White wines

Greenish yellow Color, more or less pale, fine aroma, light and not very high grade. It predominates the Viura variety.

According to the process of ageing followed, in Rioja wine The following categories are established:


Guarantee of Origin. Wines that have not undergone the ageing process.


Crianza Wines. It corresponds to wines in their third year that have remained at least one year old in oak casks.

Reserva Wines

Reserve Wines. It corresponds to very selected wines with a minimum ageing between oak casks and a three-year-old bottle, of which at least one in cask.

Great Reserva Wines

Great Reserva Wines. It corresponds to wines of large crops that have aged a minimum of two years in oak casks and three years in bottle.
