Rioja Alta stars on the cover of the magazine “Magazine. Wine Routes of Spain”.

The Rioja Alta Wine Route has been chosen to feature in the latest issue of Magazine, the magazine published by Rutas del Vino de España. Our land occupies the space dedicated to the “featured article” and, as such, this publication has reserved a total of nine pages for it, written in Spanish and English, and accompanied by the most beautiful images.

The report highlights the history, richness and diversity of our region’s heritage; our wine culture, which includes everything from century-old wineries and wine cellars to more innovative, recently created projects.

It also refers to the character of the people of La Rioja, of whom it highlights “the hospitality of their villages and their people”.

A report on the Rioja Alta Wine Route could not fail to mention the gastronomy of the land: “the magnificent restaurants, inns and grills of the Rioja Alta allow you to enjoy Rioja vegetables on the day they are harvested in the orchards, as well as delighting in the intoxicating aroma of stewed veal or tasting the tasty vine-shoot roast cutlet”, say the editors.

And among the outstanding festivities, the magazine mentions the Batalla del Clarete pilgrimage in San Asensio; the Jornadas Medievales de Briones; the Festival de Música Antigua or the popular Noches de San Lorenzo, among others.
