Start San Asensio

Start of the route in the Plaza Vieja de San Asensio. From here, continue along Calle José Iturmendi Bañales, along an urban route, passing pavilions and unbuilt plots of land.

Leave the path to the right that leads to the local cemetery and take the next path also on the right, entering an area of wineries and pavilions. Continue along a dirt track that enters the cultivated area where the vineyard soon appears, turning left at the crossroads.

After about 600 metres, take the path to the left, which is clearly marked with signposts. The path continues parallel to the canal and begins the section with good views of the Najerilla valley at 1,500 m. from the “Mirador”, a marvellous view of the valley. Continue along the main path for 3,500 m. Here we can see Uruñuela, Huércanos, Alesón, etc…

Turning off to the left we descend towards Hormilleja. After the urban route through this small village, return to San Asensio along the same road in the opposite direction.
