San Asensio
The route starts in the Plaza Vieja de San Asensio, and continues gently up Calle de Santo Domingo. After passing the Señorío de Villarica winery, turn left into Camino del Prado street.
Continue straight on, leaving several accesses on the left, until you reach a crossroads with four paths 1,000 m. further on, where you turn left and arrive at the Fuente del Prado, a place to take a break under a large almond tree. The water is not drinkable at present.
We continue straight on, leaving a path on the left until we see a “Guardaviñas” in an area with good views. Straight on, at the crossroads of four paths, take the one on the right called Senda de los Ladrones (Thieves’ Path) for 900 m., where we will avoid a crossroads and continue straight on. At the 3,100 m point of the route we find another crossroads where we turn right until we turn right again after 300 m. and find ourselves back on the Camino de Santo Domingo.
Continue straight on along this main road, leaving several junctions on both sides in the direction of the town, which we will reach at the return point next to the Señorío de Villarica wineries. Start of the two-way section to the Plaza Vieja de San Asensio.
