This spring, the Rioja Alta Wine Route invites visitors to discover the region as a whole through “One region, five experiences”, an initiative that brings together Briñas, Casalarreina, Sajazarra, Ollauri and Haro in a joint programme.
Between 25 April and 6 June, each town will host an event combining wine, gastronomy, culture and heritage, offering a journey that reflects the shared identity of Rioja Alta. Rather than isolated events, this is a journey where each village brings its own personality to the table under a single unifying theme: wine.
Five key events
- Briñas (25 April) opens the series with a day combining nature, tradition, a craft market and live music.
- Casalarreina (2 May) hosts Catalarreina, a food and wine experience featuring wines, tapas and music. Tickets available at: https://entradium.com/events/catalarreina
- Sajazarra (23 May) offers a day of cultural and participatory activities in one of the area’s most iconic villages.
- Ollauri (30 May) offers active wine tourism with tastings, a market, dramatised tours and walks through the vineyards.
- Haro (6 June) brings the series to a close with “El Mariano”, a festival dedicated to Rioja vermouth.

A region to be experienced
Throughout these experiences, visitors connect with local wineries, restaurants and producers, in an initiative that goes beyond wine to encompass the landscape, gastronomy and culture.
This project reinforces Rioja Alta’s status as a high-quality wine tourism destination, based on collaboration between local councils and the creation of authentic experiences.
A journey to discover Rioja Alta step by step, glass by glass.
