The Sajazarra Fair is hosting the 3rd Twinning Day of Spain’s Most Beautiful Villages in La Rioja, a special gathering that brings together towns with exceptional heritage to share, celebrate and showcase their traditions.
A true day of culture, food and wine, and community spirit, where locals and visitors alike can immerse themselves in a warm and authentic atmosphere, discover the richness of these villages and enjoy a programme designed for all ages. Throughout the day, Sajazarra comes alive with activities that combine the best of local culture: food and wine experiences, creative workshops, family-friendly activities and a festive atmosphere that lasts from morning until night.

Programme for Saturday, 23 May 2026

  • 10:00 am – Town Hall Square: Welcome by the authorities and opening of the market
  • 10:30 am – Town Hall Square: Twinning ceremony for the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain in La Rioja
  • 11:30 am – Town Hall Square: Wine tasting with Álvaro Urizarna. Wine painting workshop with Isabel Vozmediano
  • 12.30 pm – Town Hall Square: Vermouth session with DJ Aitor Isoglu
  • 2.00 pm – Town Hall Square: Community lunch
  • 4.00 pm – Castle Square: Circus workshop (all ages, especially children and young people)
  • 5.30 pm – Plaza del Castillo: Storytelling (ages 2–9)
  • 6.15 pm – Plaza del Castillo: Circus show (suitable for all ages)
  • 9.00 pm – Plaza del Ayuntamiento: Concert: La Huella
  • 🍷 Wine tasting (3 wines + 3 tapas): €10 (advance booking required).
    🎨 Wine painting workshop: €6 (advance booking required).
