Observing the total solar eclipse on 12 August 2026 is an extraordinary astronomical phenomenon that has not occurred in Spain for more than 100 years. A unique and unrepeatable event that can be experienced in a very special way, right in the heart of the Rioja Alta vineyard landscape.
At Bodegas Lecea, we have selected a privileged location among vineyards, prepared to guarantee a comfortable and complete observation experience, surrounded by an incomparable natural setting.
The experience will begin with a guided vineyard tour, where we will discover first-hand the winegrowing activity, the vine cycle, and the work carried out in the fields throughout the year.
Afterwards, we will move to a high viewpoint at the top of San Asensio, offering excellent visibility and specially prepared for the occasion. There, we will provide a clear and informative explanation of the solar eclipse, helping us understand the phenomenon we are about to experience and its exceptional nature. The highlight of the experience will then arrive: in the middle of the afternoon, the sky will darken and the Sun will become completely hidden by the Moon, offering us a unique spectacle shared among nature, silence, and emotion.
The observation will be accompanied by an aperitif and a selection of Bodegas Lecea wines.
An exclusive experience that combines wine, landscape, knowledge, and a historic astronomical event, designed for those looking for something truly different.
