The Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN) has announced the 8th edition of the ‘Wine Routes of Spain’ Wine Tourism Awards, which recognise the most outstanding initiatives in the sector in our country. These biennial awards, which do not include a cash prize, highlight the work of companies, institutions and regions that promote wine tourism as a driver of rural development.
The awards are linked to the Wine Routes of Spain product club, currently comprising 38 routes that bring together wineries, restaurants, accommodation, museums, travel agencies and other entities committed to a model based on quality and public-private collaboration.
In this eighth edition, there are 14 categories, thirteen competitive and one of merit.
Among others are:
- Best Wine Tourism Initiative
- Best Sustainable and Responsible Wine Tourism Destination
- Best Wine Tourism Experience
- Best Gastronomic Offer or Promotion of Inclusive Wine Tourism.
As a major new feature, the category of Best Winery Open to Tourism will be divided into two awards according to the size of the winery, thus recognising the diversity of the sector and valuing both large complexes and smaller projects.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 5 July 2026. A professional, multidisciplinary jury will be responsible for selecting the winning proposals. These awards are part of the wine tourism promotion activities carried out in collaboration with the Secretary of State for Tourism, TURESPAÑA and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, consolidating Rutas del Vino de España as a national benchmark in the sector.
