The grape harvest is the most exciting time of the year in Rioja, and Bodegas Montecillo, at its headquarters in Navarrete, invites you to discover it first-hand through unique, limited-time visits. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as it depends on the natural rhythm of the harvest, the end of which is always uncertain. That is why, only during these weeks, will it be possible to experience first-hand how wine is made in one of the most historic wineries in Rioja Alta.

During the visit, attendees will be able to taste seasonal products: freshly harvested grapes from the different plots controlled by the winery and must extracted from the tanks, depending on the progress of the harvest. An opportunity for both children and adults to get a little closer to the fascinating world of winemaking in its most primitive stages.

The experience is rounded off with barrel tastings, where you can appreciate the evolution of the wine as it ages, video mapping that brings the history and essence of Montecillo to life, a tour of the barrel room and the historic wine rack, and a final tasting of three wines (rosé, white and red) accompanied by an appetiser.
