The Briones Medieval Festival 2026 celebrates its 28th edition, an event in which the entire town comes together to transform the village into an authentic recreation of the Middle Ages. During the event, the historic centre becomes a living stage where crafts, scenes and traditions from the 14th century are brought back to life.
Also this year, the cobbled streets, manor houses and squares of Briones will once again be filled with costumed locals and historical settings, creating a unique immersive experience where visitors travel back in time to medieval life.
The 28th Briones Medieval Festival, taking place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2026, will offer a journey through the customs, work and trades of the past through more than 40 themed gateways set up throughout the town. Stonemasons, warriors, spinners, blacksmiths, tanners, cheesemakers, carpenters, espadrille makers, nobles and hidalgos will be just some of the characters bringing the recreation to life. Around 700 people will take part in the event —600 of them local residents of Briones— dressed in period attire to immerse visitors in a unique historical experience.
