October is a magical month on the Rioja Alta Wine Route. The vineyards are dressed in colours ranging from intense green to red, gold and ochre, offering us unique views. It is the moment when the harvest is in full swing: teams working in the vineyards, wineries bustling with activity and visitors who can witness how a new wine is born.

This month also combines the intensity of the countryside with the calm of the villages and landscapes. Strolling among the vineyards, enjoying a special tasting or discovering the local cuisine becomes an unforgettable experience.

The wineries and establishments on the Rioja Alta Wine Route have prepared a calendar full of activities so you can enjoy this autumn like never before. Live grape harvests, popular festivals, tastings, gastronomy and even themed fairs.

Special visits to Montecillo. Experience the magic of the grape harvest first-hand at the Montecillo wineries with unique and exclusive experiences. You will be able to see up close and in person how wine is made at one of the most historic wineries in Rioja Alta. More information

Grape Harvest Day at Bodegas David Moreno. An event designed for the whole family, where children and adults alike will enjoy a unique day full of tradition to celebrate the grape harvest. More information

Experience the grape harvest in Beronia. Enjoy a unique experience on the terrace of Beronia, surrounded by vineyards, with live music and a tasting of three wines —white, crianza and signature wine— accompanied by two specially selected tapas. More information

Open harvest at Bodegas Corral. During the harvest, Bodegas Corral will offer different participatory experiences on weekends: become a winemaker for a day, take part in a Rioja vs Jumilla tasting contest, paint with wine, decorate your own bottle or visit the winery during Wine Tourism Day are just some of them. Vin Tonics. Bodegas FyA promises us an afternoon of dancing with live music and the novelty of tasting wines from the Piérola Group in a contemporary and modern way: created by a mixologist especially for this occasion. More information

Grape Treading Festival. Bodegas Lecea celebrates the 17th edition of its popular Grape Treading Festival, where young and old alike take part in the traditional grape treading and other activities specially designed for the weekend. More information

Gastronomic Days at Natura Resorts. During October and November, Natura Resorts organises its gastronomic days with special, themed menus to be savoured in a unique setting of beautiful scenery, relaxation and quality cuisine. More information

Wine tastings. La Bodega del Tesoro, a wine cellar dating back to 1881 that has been restored for wine tourism, organises tastings of up to 12 wines accompanied by tapas and a ham carver. All this is accompanied by a live concert. More information
