Brands Cor de Mei / Cor de Mei Martina Bodegas Cor de Mei is located in the Rioja village of Gimileo, three kilometres from Haro, the capital of Rioja, and four kilometres from Briones. Briones is one of the most important villages in La Rioja, for its history and its spectacular old town, from where you can contemplate the meanders of the Ebro River and the Sierra Cantabria, eternal witnesses of the best vineyards of the Rioja Denomination. Gimileo is a small village, surrounded by vineyards, with old ashlar stone houses, peaceful and pleasant to walk around. It is a small rustic winery, typical of La Rioja, with two 16th century cellars. Bodegas Corral is a winery with a centuries-old tradition located on the axis of the Pilgrims’ Route to Santiago del Norte and Navarre, near the old Pilgrims’ Hospital of San Juan de Acre. In such a privileged place, where the pilgrims told each other all the knowledge they carried in their meagre luggage, the wine culture expanded its knowledge with each contribution of all the travellers. Brands HOPLITAWINES is a boutique winery located in the old town of Logroño. The winery is dedicated to the production of wines from a single plot or ‘terroir’ wine, located in the municipalities of San Asensio and Briones. Old vineyards and in some cases centenary, with an average age of over 90 years. We have recovered the winemaking process in the Old Town of Logroño, in the old Palace of the Count of Murillo and Bornos and in a cellar of an old winery, all of them dating from the beginning of the 16th century….. This is the spirit of HOPLITA, to care for and preserve both the historic vineyards and the heritage of our region. HOPLITAWINES is dedicated to the ‘deconstruction’ of claret wine. Our plots were planted for the production of claret wine, ‘claret de San Asensio’, we produce the white grapes separately from the reds, making 2 wines per plot. We work the vineyard and winemaking from parameters of respect and sustainability, several plots are only worked exclusively by hand, without any type of mechanisation and we have managed to reduce energy consumption by more than 75%, also working on the capture of CO2 in several projects. Brands Ad Libitum and Peña El Gato. Bodegas Juan Carlos Sancha is a small project located in Baños de Río Tobía (Rioja Alta) in one of the coolest areas of Rioja. We have 9.0 hectares of our own vineyards and organic farming. Our project was launched in 2009. We have a total production of approx. 40.000 bot. All the winemaking is done in organic farming and we have a natural wine. We have two lines of wines: 1.- Ad Libitum: This brand covers four varietal wines of native minority varieties Tempranillo Blanco, Maturana Blanca, Maturana Tinta and Monastel de Rioja. These varieties are the result of a study of several years based on the recovery of minority autochthonous grape varieties of La Rioja in which the University of La Rioja has participated. 2.- Peña El Gato:”: This brand covers seven varietal Garnacha wines from centenary vineyards.
