The Government of La Rioja has been taking part in the IMEX international trade fair at the Messe Exhibition Centre in Frankfurt since yesterday and will continue to do so until tomorrow, Thursday. There, it is showcasing La Rioja’s distinctive tourism offering to professionals specialising in MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences and events).

La Rioja’s presence at IMEX consists of a dedicated promotional area within the Turespaña stand. It is here that our region is showcasing its tourism potential to attract an audience of key importance to the region: professionals specialising in the events industry, incentive travel and meetings.

Throughout these executive meetings with tourism sector professionals, tour operators, opinion leaders and international marketing agents, comprehensive data and detailed, specialised information on the destination and its tourism resources are provided, with the aim of creating business opportunities for the region in a priority country and market such as Germany.

In addition, the La Rioja delegation in Germany is holding dozens of professional meetings highlighting the importance and enormous potential of La Rioja in areas such as gastronomy, wine tourism, culture, nature, rural tourism, historical and cultural heritage, and leisure and recreation, amongst others.

The last edition of IMEX Frankfurt 2025 stood out for its record figures, with over 3,000 exhibiting companies from 150 countries, 4,200 international buyers and 13,000 professionals.
