Bodegas Beronia, whose name refers to the name given in ancient times to the area now known as La Rioja, is located in the municipality of Ollauri (Rioja Alta). It was founded in 1973 by a small gastronomic society from Gipuzkoa that met to produce wines for their own consumption. In a short time, Beronia became a benchmark winery for its reserves and grand reserves, made in the purest and most traditional style of La Rioja. In 1982 González Byass incorporated Bodegas Beronia into its Wine Family. Its philosophy is based on three fundamental aspects: the quality of its wines, respect for the environment and its concern for research in the world of oenology but always maintaining the essence of La Rioja.
