Wine Trail Toloño Hermitage (Ribas de Tereso)

The route starts on the road from Rivas de Tereso to Peñacerrada, about 2.3 km from the first village. At the first crossroads, take the path to the left, which enters a wood. Ascend in the same direction, turning right and left before passing the wire fence that marks the provincial boundary between La Rioja and Alava.

At the crossroads of the Labastida path we come across the Cristo del Humilladero, a chapel in ruins that dominates a meadow of scrubland and grasses. From here, the ascent continues along the path until you reach the Toloño hermitage.
