A winery dating from 1881 recovered for wine tourism and as a wine bar. Its secrets remained hidden during the 30 years it was closed, with the legacy built since its opening in 1881 hidden from everyone’s eyes. A thorough restoration has made it possible for this 19th century winery, in which wine was made in the traditional way through carbonic maceration, to re-emerge in the present day. With its heritage value intact and a new essential tourist component in the wine-growing region par excellence.
La Bodega del Tesoro not only recovers for our days a historic building. It is also a way of life reminiscent of two centuries ago, which is nourished by unique experiences. Like the possibility of tasting a wine in the depths of its cellar, where the temperature is always constant, regardless of the time of year. Or to enjoy a lunch in the purest Riojan style inside a centuries-old vat: feeling wine has never been so easy.
Designed to host small group visits and customer events, the original elements of the facility (press, vats, vats and even the key to the winery) have been recovered to perfection. But the aim is not only to promote wine tourism within the boundaries of the project, but also beyond. The vindication of the winery neighbourhoods, in which to generate local and foreign community through wine, is another primary objective of La Bodega del Tesoro.
Understood as a club, the wine bar will sell La Bodega del Tesoro’s own wine, exclusively from special vineyards with small productions, which can be enjoyed by those who become members. There will also be room for other particularly recommendable wines, with a special interest in the contributions of winemakers who may be interested in forming part of the project.

• Schedule: Visits: 10:00 – 11:00 – 12:30 – 19:00. Wine bar: Weekends and summer. Other times by appointment.
• Price: From 15€.
• Languages: Spanish, English.
• Activities: Wine bar and wine bar with wines from small wineries. Guided tours, tastings, rations and tapas.
