Wineries FyA

We are part of the Grupo Vitivinícola Piérola, a family group that was founded with the founding of Bodegas Fernández de Piérola in 1996. Bodega-Hotel FyA is its most recent project, the winery will open in 2018 and the hotel in 2021.

WINES

They stand out for their originality, as some of them are made in earthenware jars made from the very soil of the plot where the winery is located.

• FyA BS (semi-sweet white): This is a young wine made from Viura and Malvasia grapes.
• FyA Tinaja Cosecha: Red wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. It is characterised by being aged for 6 months in 1,000 litre earthenware jars. These jars give freshness and density to the wine.
• FyA Tinaja Crianza: Our most complex red wine, as it is made with 100% Tempranillo grapes aged for 18 months in total: 6 months in earthenware jars, 6 months in American oak and 6 months in French oak.
• FyA 8: Made with 100% tempranillo grapes. This wine is aged for 8 months in 400 and 500 litre French oak barrels.
• Maturana tinta: Our limited edition wine, made with maturana tinta grapes from Navarrete. It spends 7 months ageing in classic American oak.

WINE TOURISM

We make daily visits to our winery to show and explain the production process of our wines. All visits are accompanied by a stop at our Ceramics Museum, a museum with a collection of pieces dating from the 16th to the 20th century.

• Classic visit: it lasts about an hour and a half and includes a visit to the facilities, the Ceramics Museum and a tasting of two wines per person. It costs €15 per person.
• Premium visit: this is a more complete visit, in which we go out to the vineyard (weather permitting), visit the facilities, the Ceramics Museum and pair 4 wines with 4 pinchos. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and costs €25 per person.

We offer seasonal activities, such as the Piérola 360 visit, afternoons in the garden, etc. Our winery dining room offers seasonal menus to complete the wine tourism experience.
