The Cata Canalla de Sajazarra Association is a non-profit association included in the register of Associations of La Rioja. This association was born with the aim of disseminating and promoting the culture of the rural world, the enhancement of its traditions and rural development through quality experiential tourism activities that boost the promotion of tourism in the area, the rural environment, quality and sustainable.
The expression of the association’s objectives is the ‘Cata Canalla’, which gets its name from its nocturnal nature and its subtle way of concealing an exquisite dinner that brings together the best of local gastronomy. The most daring wines of the Rioja Alta; carefully selected by the team, which will be paired with the culinary creations of the best local restaurants.
In the Plaza del Castillo de Sajazarra, under the protection of its 15th century castle and under the protection of the stars. An incomparable setting where the attendees will meet and enter through the emblematic alleyway of Las Paredes Amantes, a creation of the sculptor Miguel Ángel Molina.
José Ramón Jiménez, known as the Wine Educator, will accompany us as master of ceremonies to guarantee a pleasant, exciting and educational evening. He will engage in conversation with the winemakers, who will talk to us about revived traditions, new challenges and their way of experiencing the world of wine. All this is complemented by carefully selected lighting, a showcooking tent with live cooking, the enthusiasm of a group of volunteers in room control and live music.
